Ganiyu Oyebanjo's Alleged Insurbodination to his boss,Kosofe LG Chairman

Ganiyu Oyebanjo is a well-known grassroot politician in Ward D Anthony and Kosofe LG at large. He has served in different capacity at the council, latest been the Special adviser to the current kosofe council chair.


At the moment, there's a bad blood between him and his boss as he was alleged to be the brain behind "kosofe headline", a facebook page that has been reportedly disparaging the administration of the council chair,in which he is partaker(Reference: Oluwaseun Salami). No one could give reason why he's allegedly maligning the image and administration of the council chair. it's worthy of note that he contested for the council election primaries under APC in 2021 that produced the current chairman. however, it's not clear if he's doing this damage because he wants to contest with the current chairman for the APC ticket or that he's fronting for another intending aspirant.


Recently, An Audio leak evidence surfaced on facebook where a supervisory councillor, Otunba Adedayo Lawal was heard allegedly disparaging and making derogatory comments against the council chairman and his administration. Some Kosofe's political bigwigs claimed that it was the handywork of Ganiyu Oyebanjo through his kosofe headline platform, whose whereabout is unknown at the moment.

The council chairman hasn't responded to the audio leak and the owner of the voice, Dayo Lawal has distanced himself from it. Who's is Lying? What does Ganiyu Oyebanjo stand to gain from this alleged brouhaha? Who's drumming the beat of war in kosofe? I guess only time shall unravel the mysteries surrounding this matter.

As Kosofe goes to poll again next year to elect council chair and councillors, We hope best candidates will emerge.

EFCC has begun monitoring Local Government Funds

  It is no longer a news that LGAs now have financial autonomy,owing to the supreme court verdict of 2024, affirming that LGAs should receive their monthly FAAC Allocations directly from the Country's treasury. According to the Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Mimister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, The allocations of the LG funds will take effect by february. In lieu of this, The Anti-graft body of the federation, EFCC has announced that the has started monitoring the funds so that it won't be mismanaged or laundered abroad through the whims and caprices of corruption that is endemic in our political system.
