Dudu's third coming as Ikosi-Isheri Chairmanship Aspirant



Hon. Adetunji Adebajo a.k.a Dudu is a well-known political figure in ikosi-isheri LCDA. He ventured into active politics in 2003 when he contested for the Kosofe Constituency 2, House of Assembly seat under National Conscience Party(NCP). He has unsuccessfully vied for the chairmanship seat on 2 occasions under APC and this time makes it his 3rd shot at the most-coveted grassroot position.



He will be slugging it out with the incumbent chairman, Mayoress Samiat Abolanle Bada, whose tenure is marred with controversies, one of which is an argument about her eligible to contest again, since she replaced the late chairman, Alhaji Fatai Ayodele Oyesanya a.k.a Oyesco in 2020. He will also be squaring up with a popular grassroot politician, who is based in The Netherlands, Hon. Bidemi Akintunde a.k.a Stainless. The beauty of the contest is that dudu and stainless belongs to the category of the youths, which made up of 60% of the party.

Can this 3rd coming translate into a reality for dudu? Can he matches Mayoress with wits and connections? Can he curry the favour of the leaders? Only time shall reveal such.

EFCC has begun monitoring Local Government Funds

  It is no longer a news that LGAs now have financial autonomy,owing to the supreme court verdict of 2024, affirming that LGAs should receive their monthly FAAC Allocations directly from the Country's treasury. According to the Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Mimister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, The allocations of the LG funds will take effect by february. In lieu of this, The Anti-graft body of the federation, EFCC has announced that the has started monitoring the funds so that it won't be mismanaged or laundered abroad through the whims and caprices of corruption that is endemic in our political system. This is a welcome development by the anti-graft agency, beaming it's searchlight on the grassroots administration funds.
