Kosofe LG Chairman to construct 11 additional roads,Oworonsoki and ifako tops the list


 
The Executive Chairman of Kosofe LG is set to construct 11 additional roads within his jurisdition,in which streets in oworonsoki and ifako are said to frequent more on the list, owing to the dilapidated nature of the roads. 

This was made known through a press statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Oluwole Obisanya-Labia and a whatsapp message was sent to him to inquire about the names of the streets involved and he promptly responded that the constituents should be patient as it will be revealed when the time comes.

The Chairman has reportedly rehabilitated 36 roads since the inception of his administration and he seems to be enjoying the goodwill of kosofe people, which makes him technically, a consensus APC candidate for next year's council election, as his administration will clock 3years on July 25th.

Will he emerged as chairman for 2nd tenure? I guess only time will tell

EFCC has begun monitoring Local Government Funds

  It is no longer a news that LGAs now have financial autonomy,owing to the supreme court verdict of 2024, affirming that LGAs should receive their monthly FAAC Allocations directly from the Country's treasury. According to the Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Mimister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, The allocations of the LG funds will take effect by february. In lieu of this, The Anti-graft body of the federation, EFCC has announced that the has started monitoring the funds so that it won't be mismanaged or laundered abroad through the whims and caprices of corruption that is endemic in our political system. This is a welcome development by the anti-graft agency, beaming it's searchlight on the grassroots administration funds.
