Meet APC Kosofe LGA Chairmanship Aspirants

 Kosofe LGA is on the march again to either continue with the incumbent chairman or shop for his replacement, as the council goes to poll next year. Some aspirants have signifies interest in vying for the most elevated position in kosofe. here are the names and description of the aspirants in no particular order;

1. Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe is the current chairman of the council that recently celebrated his 3rd year in office with projects and welfare services to show for it. His emergence as party's candidate took everyone by surprise owing to the fact that he newly joined the party then. Having emerged as the chairman at the LGA election in 2021, he rewarded some of his fellow party aspirants with juicy positions under his administration. He will be banking on his performance in office and close relationship with the 2 GAC Leaders to bag a 2nd tenure ticket.



2. Lanre Murtala Balogun is a vibrant youth in oworonsoki, where he was born and brought into adulthood. He has been relevant in the kosofe politics over time, most especially during the electioneering campaign of former house of reps aspirant, Hon. Abiodun Owokoya a.k.a Abbey CheChe in 2022. He will relying on the youth wing of the party to realize his dream ambition.


3. Ibraheem Bakare Olawale is the immediate past councillor of  Ward C Ifako/Gbagada that has also picks interest in vying for the chairmanship seat. Though he hasn't been forthcoming with his intents since he made his interest known via whatsapp posts, which made some party members not to take him serious. Some even said he is a joker that hasn't formally returns to APC after his sojourn at SDP during the last general elections. He will be relying on fate to realize his ambition.


Will the incumbent chairman be re-presented as APC Candidate? Will there be a new candidate for APC Kosofe LGA? What will be the decision of the Kosofe Apex Leaders on this matter? Let's wait and see how it will pan out.

EFCC has begun monitoring Local Government Funds

  It is no longer a news that LGAs now have financial autonomy,owing to the supreme court verdict of 2024, affirming that LGAs should receive their monthly FAAC Allocations directly from the Country's treasury. According to the Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Mimister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, The allocations of the LG funds will take effect by february. In lieu of this, The Anti-graft body of the federation, EFCC has announced that the has started monitoring the funds so that it won't be mismanaged or laundered abroad through the whims and caprices of corruption that is endemic in our political system. This is a welcome development by the anti-graft agency, beaming it's searchlight on the grassroots administration funds.
