Whytee gunning for Kosofe council chair

As the race to 2025 LG election draws near, many aspirants have shown interests in chairmanship and councillorship positions in Kosofe LG. It's not a news that the incumbent chairman, moyo ogunlewe will be vying for a 2nd term, owing to his achievements and performance in office. He might be facing a strong opposition in a serial aspirant, Olayinka Rabiu a.k.a Whytee, who is rumoured to throw his hat into the ring for the APC primaries.

Whytee is a notable figure in kosofe politics and has contested several positions in the past under the ruling party, He is from Ward F Ojota where he is predominantly popular among his teeming fans.

Furthermore, He is an experienced politician that has cut his teeeth in the political terrain of kosofe with his unwaivering support for the party over time. 

Will he eventually contest against moyo at the primaries? Does he have all it takes to become kosofe APC candidate? time shall definately answer these questions.

EFCC has begun monitoring Local Government Funds

  It is no longer a news that LGAs now have financial autonomy,owing to the supreme court verdict of 2024, affirming that LGAs should receive their monthly FAAC Allocations directly from the Country's treasury. According to the Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Mimister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, The allocations of the LG funds will take effect by february. In lieu of this, The Anti-graft body of the federation, EFCC has announced that the has started monitoring the funds so that it won't be mismanaged or laundered abroad through the whims and caprices of corruption that is endemic in our political system. This is a welcome development by the anti-graft agency, beaming it's searchlight on the grassroots administration funds.
