Update List of Kosofe APC Ward "C" Ifako/Gbagada Councillorship Aspirants

 LGAs/wards election is slated for next year and some of them will be changing their representatives at such level of government. In lieu of this,  Notable aspirants of  Ward C ifako/gbagada have indicated interest in the position, including the incumbent councillor. Here are the names and descriptions of the aspirants in no particular order;

1. Adefemi Adeniyi a.k.a Royal is a youth and known figure in the ward. He has been involved in the party's activities over the years, spending his time and resources for the greater good of the party in Kosofe LGA. He will be relying on his goodwill within the party to seal the ticket.


2. Olalekan Rasak Olawale a.k.a ORO is a dynamic youth with exemplary qualities and adequate grassroot political experience. He is an SSA on Youth Activities to the Honourable member representing kosofe federal constituency at the house of reps. This is his 2nd shot at the position and will be relying on his mutual relationship with Ogbara to bag the party's ticket.


3. Femi Oyesile is the incumbent councillor that is seeking re-election for another 4 years. He will be relying on his close relationship with GAC member, Omoba Muyiwa Sosanya to seal his re-election ticket.


4. Itunu Ogunleye a.k.a ISCO is a youth that is contesting the position for the 2nd time. He will be capitalizing on his cordial relationship with Commissioner IV, Lagos State Audit Service Commission, Alhaji Musiliu Alade Aigoro to land the ticket.


5. Ahmed Bello a.k.a L&K is also a youth with the mantra "Omo Adugbo" as a strategy to realise his ambition. He is hoping that his street credibility will go a long way in securing the party's ticket.


6. Adedayo Ayanfe Ajimuda is a youth that has been in the party for awhile. He will be relying on fate to land his dream ambition of becoming a ward councillor.


Who will emerge as the chosen candidate of the party? Will the incumbent be re-elected to his position? How will the Apex leaders and the 2 GAC members decide on their choice of aspirant? Only time shall tell......

EFCC has begun monitoring Local Government Funds

  It is no longer a news that LGAs now have financial autonomy,owing to the supreme court verdict of 2024, affirming that LGAs should receive their monthly FAAC Allocations directly from the Country's treasury. According to the Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Mimister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, The allocations of the LG funds will take effect by february. In lieu of this, The Anti-graft body of the federation, EFCC has announced that the has started monitoring the funds so that it won't be mismanaged or laundered abroad through the whims and caprices of corruption that is endemic in our political system. This is a welcome development by the anti-graft agency, beaming it's searchlight on the grassroots administration funds.
