WARD "C" ARAROMI-IFAKO/GBAGADA IN A 2-HORSE RACE

As the LG Election of July 12 draws near, momemtum are building up already between APC and LP in Kosofe Ward C. Before we proceed further, let's meet the flagbearers in a particular ranking order;



1. Hon. Femi Oyesile: He is the flagbearer of All Progressives Party(APC) and the incumbent councillor of the word, He is been touted to emerge as the leader of the kosofe legislative arm when re-elected. He will be relying on the popularity of his party to clinch the re-election at the poll.



2. Ambassador Moyosore Badejo a.k.a MOG: He is the flagbearer of Labour Party at the forthcoming poll. he is a vibrant youth and a community engager that will be relying on the popularity of Peter Obi, and the brillant performance of Hon. Akinwande Osikominu at the last kosofe house of assembly election against the incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon Sanni a.k.a Okla, to make a meaningful impact at the poll.

This will be a keenly-contested election owing to the fact that both flagbearers are political heavyweights, in which none of them can be underestimated in the grand scheme of things. 

Recently, The Labour Party flagbearer lamemted on how his banners were defaced and damaged but reaffirmed that he is focused on the goal and won't be distracted. 

These are the two(2) known gladiators for the forthcoming July 12 LG poll.

EFCC has begun monitoring Local Government Funds

  It is no longer a news that LGAs now have financial autonomy,owing to the supreme court verdict of 2024, affirming that LGAs should receive their monthly FAAC Allocations directly from the Country's treasury. According to the Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Mimister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, The allocations of the LG funds will take effect by february. In lieu of this, The Anti-graft body of the federation, EFCC has announced that the has started monitoring the funds so that it won't be mismanaged or laundered abroad through the whims and caprices of corruption that is endemic in our political system. This is a welcome development by the anti-graft agency, beaming it's searchlight on the grassroots administration funds.
