Updated List of APC Kosofe Ward "B" Councillorship Aspirants

With the inclination that the time to change guard at the councillor position of Ward B Orile-Oworo inches closer, aspirants have shown interest in succeeding the outgoung councillor. Here are the names and description of the aspirants in no particular order;

1. Abayomi Ebenezer Elugbindin a.k.a Oselu Baba Ayo: He is the supervisory councillor for health and a former aspirant. He was also a former personal aide to Hon. Yacoob Ekundayo Alebiosu, The commissioner for waterfront development. He will be banking on the cordial relationship he enjoys with with Alebiosu's political dynasty to seal the party's ticket.


2. Muyiwa Olatiboye a.k.a Lastborn: He is the deposed youth leader of the ward and a youth advocate. He will be relying on his closeness to Commissioner IV, Lagos State Audit Service Commission, Hon. Musiliudeen Alade Aigoro, to snatch the councillorship ticket.


3. Sheriff Titilope Bello a.k.a Olope: He was a former councillorship aspirant under PDP before joining APC prior to 2021 LGA Election. He is also an SSA to the council chairman, whom he shares a bond with, due to the fact that they were both formerly in the opposition party. He will be relying on his close relationship with the chairman to bag the ticket.


4. Prince Kehinde Omotehinse a.k.a PKO: He is a co-founder of Oworonsoki Youth Movement(OYM). he is also passionate about youth activities in Oworonsoki and Kosofe LGA at large. He will be hoping that the Leaders of the party will find him worthy to represent the party at the next ward election.


5. Aliu Omotolani Hamzat a.k.a Aguero: He is youth that has been actively involved in political and social events of the ward. He will hoping that his closeness with Oba of Oworonsoki can land him the ticket.


6. Olanrewaju Aborisade: He is the deputy youth leader of the ward and a member of the NYCN, Kosofe Chapter. He will be expecting that his working relationship with kosofe constituency 1,house of assembly member can curry the favour of the party leaders towards him, in order to become the chosen one.


7. Prince Dayo Farid Saliu a.k.a PDS: He is a crown prince of oworonsoki that has signifies interest in vying for orile-oworo councillorship post. He will be hoping that his charitable attribute and educational qualification will align with the interest of the party leaders, to represent the party at the next ward election.


Does the aspirants have all it takes to become the next councillor? Will the party leaders be gunning for "Old horse" or "Fresh wine" in making their decision? Will there be imposition of candidate or Level-playing field by the party leaders towards the aspirants? Let's wait and see how it will pan out.

 Kosofe LG is set for another round of electioneering campaign, as some councillors will be leaving while some will be vying for a second tenure. Ward A Oworonsoki will be having a new councillor, as the incumbent councillor will be bowing out of office after an appalling 7years with little or no substantial performance. Baruwa Sulaimon, Ward "F" Ojota tops the list of performance index ranking amongst Kosofe LGA Councillors

As the Kosofe LGA councillors have been in office for 3years and 7 years respectively, Questionaires were handed over to most of the constituents to rate their councillors on their performance. The parameters used are as follows; * Project facilitation and execution 50%. * Interpersonal relations with the constituents 20%. * Accessibility 10%. * Human personal development of the constituents(poverty alleviation programs,skill-acquisition programs,empowerment programs e.t.c) 10%. * Behavioral pattern 10%.
