Seun Salami  With the ongoing brouhaha that is happening on different kosofe whatsapp platforms, involving Seun salami, Ibrahim Adisa Mustapha and Ganiyu Olamiji Oyebanjo, It is becoming messier by the day with series of allegations and counter-allegations,in which the latest is that Ganiyu Olamiji Oyebanjo alleged that seun salami received a car gift from the chairman and that he is equally placed on monthly salary. One tends to believe the story because the whistle blower was formerly in their camp.   There is a bad blood brewing from the camp of Seun Salami, Ibrahim Mustapha towards Ganiyu Olamiji Oyebanjo popularly known as GOCO, the estranged special adviser on boundary matters to kosofe LG chairman, though the genesis of the brouhaha is yet unkown.   The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi(SAN) has directed that the Local Government should create a new bank accounts or link their existing accounts to TSA within 90days to facilitate direct payment of their allocation funds, owing to the supreme court verdict on financial autonomy of the LGAs. President Tinubu was pleased with the judgement of the supreme court,labelling it as "victory for the 3rd-tier government", stressing that the financial autonomy of the LGAs will bring new lease of life to them and makes them vibrant again,as it is the closest government to the grassroot. The court verdict delivered by justice emmanuel agim, on friday, also reiterated that the governors cannot sack democratically-elected council chairmen as such act will amount to abuse of the 1999 constitution as amended.   The Executive Chairman of Kosofe LG is set to construct 11 additional roads within his jurisdition,in which streets in oworonsoki and ifako are said to frequent more on the list, owing to the dilapidated nature of the roads.  This was made known through a press statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Oluwole Obisanya-Labia and a whatsapp message was sent to him to inquire about the names of the streets involved and he promptly responded that the constituents should be patient as it will be revealed when the time comes. The Chairman has reportedly rehabilitated 36 roads since the inception of his administration and he seems to be enjoying the goodwill of kosofe people, which makes him technically, a consensus APC candidate for next year's council election, as his administration will clock 3years on July 25th. Justice Emmanuel Agim of the Supreme Court of Nigeria read the judgement verdict of the suit filed by the FG against the State governors, seeking financial autonomy for all the 774 Local Government Areas in Nigeria. His Lordship granted the local government areas, the desired financial autonomy and they will receive receiving direct allocation from RFMAC. The Lead judge also submitted that these funds is solely meant for democratically-elected LGAs Administration and that caretaker committee institituted by a state governor cannot access this allocation. Furthermore, The judge branded the state governors as "dangerous specie" that endangers the existence of the LGAs, starving them funds to drive developmental projects, emphasizing that it's unconstitutional for governors to hold LGAs fund.
